As part of the Discovering Manchester: Wildlife & Nature exhibition in Manchester’s Central Library, two of the display cabinets are devoted to the Manchester Bee, and this website. Written by Zamil Rahman and Hannah Donovan, the cabinets are a distillation of the information available on the site, covering such topics as the Coat of Arms, Beehive Mill and Bee in the City.
There’s even a bit of information about me and the website included. At the bottom of the cabinets you’ll find items I’ve contributed to the exhibition, ranging from t-shirts to books, with photographs of other items I’ve collected over the years to be added very soon.
The exhibition is located in the first floor display cases, directly at the top to the stairs leading up from the tourist information desk. It’s scheduled to run until 6th October.
You can find more bees around the library, with the first of the Bee in the City bees located in the main reception area, and also just outside along Library Walk.
