Taking place at the People’s History Museum, Beeing Special, an opportunity for little ones to learn all about the Manchester Bee through the medium of story.
Along with meeting Little Bee, the bee who wants to be different, they can also join in a bee dance, search for flowers in the museum and follow Little Bee’s adventure to find out how he becomes the hero of Victorian Manchester.
The family friendly event, suitable for under 5s, is one of three stories told on a rotating basis, alternating between Tuesdays and Saturdays as part of the Little People’s History Museum monthly story sessions, a programme of multi-sensory, interactive events using puppets, song and dance. They take place in a purpose built Mini Theatre space in Main Gallery One, with the sessions also exploring ideas of co-operation, friendship, messages and meanings. Check the People’s History Museum calendar for details of when the next one will take place.
