The first Manchester Bee Bike Tour took place on Sunday, May 21st. Organised by Manchester Bike Tours<\/a>, it was unique tour combining the history of the Manchester bee, current issues in bee keeping and cycling.<\/p>\n

Starting at 10:30am outside Chorlton’s Teahive<\/a>, the bicycle tour covered a distance of 6 miles over 3 hours as it toured the city, visiting locations such as Longford Park’s community allotment<\/a> for honey tasting with Three Bees Co-Operative<\/a>. The tour ended at Manchester Museum, giving a chance to visit the currently running After the Bees<\/a> exhibition.<\/p>\n
